Rio Local Boat Tour to Paqueta Island

Spend the afternoon on a tropical island in the middle of Rio de Janeiro! On our Rio local boat tour to Paquetá Island, you will experience a day in the life of a Rio local. Begin your authentic Carioca day, journeying to the centre of Rio’s classical downtown Portuguese neighbourhood. Located at the old port, where the slave ships used to dock and where Carmen Miranda grew up, we will board a local Passenger Boat for our half-day trip to the island of Paquetá.

Just 1 hour off the shore of Rio, our afternoon will be spent exploring the unpaved beachfront roads and charming architecture of this 500-year-old island. Once we arrive, we will be greeted at the docks by a chauffeur-driven golf cart, who will take us to explore all the corners of this tiny Rio paradise. This will include a little visit to the only bird cemetery in the world, seeing the monkeys play in the trees, witness the incredible view of Rio from afar and enjoy a beverage from the traditional local family-run bar & café.
